Where?
Ithaa Restaurant is an under the sea dining experience in the Maldives islands. The restaurant is on the Congrad Rangali Island, which houses high-end beach and water villas across two private islands. The Congrad Rangali island resort has twice been voted the best resort in the world, sits five meters below the surface, and provides a 270-degree panoramic view of the coral gardens
What?
Ithaa offers European cuisine in a six-course set dinner menu. It also offers a four-course lunch menu and mid-morning cocktails. On the lunch menu you can find such dishes as Button mushrooms veloute with sautéed morels and crème fraiche, and Rock lobster accented with leeks etuve, snow pea salad, and a sauvignon blanc cream sauce. The dinner menu provides such delicacies as Malossol oscierta caviar kissed with sour cream over potato blinis, Raw yellow fin tuna cubes drizzled with lime and sesame oil, served with crispy wonton and Pan-fried duck foie gras with Thai mango and caramel jus.
Why Living360 thinks you should eat here?
Ithaa was rated the “most beautiful restaurant in the world” by the New York Daily News in 2014. It is an acrylic restaurant that seats only fourteen diners, after they descend into the restaurant through a spiral staircase sitting in a thatched pavilion at the end of a jetty. The menu is exquisite and the setting is un-paralleled. Eat your six-course meal while stingrays swim overhead- and be quick, as it is estimated that the restaurant will only last another twenty years.
How much?
Around $85 during cocktail hour- which includes drinks and canapés, and in the region of $300 for the dinner menu, before alcohol.
